Flying through turkey was an interesting experience. Since this is a middle eastern port the security procedures were insane.
Our passports were checked about 7 times. The to away my laptop and Bluetooth headphones and Bubble wrapped it and put it in a special box. No one flying from Africa and gulf is allowed to travel with a laptop or Bluetooth headphones any more. However they let you carry your phone and offer you free WiFi on the plane.
All in all turkish airlines is highly recommended as the service is top notch.
