Rusty shipyard needs re-birth

We visited Uljanik shipyard in Pula Croatia. I was impressed with the >160 year history of ship making through Austria-Hungary, Italy, German, Yugoslavia control. However, it is clearly rusted everywhere in physical appearance and manufacture facility seemed in poor shape. The manufacturing equipment and technology seems to be outdated. Their market share is small and produces about 6 ships in a year.

The shipyard may need a re-birth. Together with the country, this company may experience transition as well from socialism to free market. This process may give opportunity for re-birth and growth. The free marketing may give incentive for growth and outside investment to fuel the growth. I wish the best luck for this long-history shipyard to re-birth for brighter future.
