The cultural dinner was great fun! We had a traditional Hungarian meal served "family" style (which seems to be a common way of serving food). Lots of excellent turkey, beef, and sausage, and, of course, potatoes and noodles.
But the best part of the evening was the entertainment. There were several traditional dances performed by professional and non-stop music. Professor Crnkovic particularly enjoyed the music -- and did a bit of singing.
We all cheered loudly when Jamie was selected to do a traditional Hungarian dance (and some drinking!). Later, Dorothy and Scott were picked by two of the professional dancers to join them.
On the way back to the hotel, our driver took us to the Liberation Monument, high on a hill above Budapest. The view was incredible!
