We took a day trip from our hotel in Bled to Ivančna Gorica then to return to Ljubljana for our fourth visit, this time to a business group called "The KD Group" that deals with insurance, asset management, financial services, and more. The company arose during the transition of Slovenia from socialism to capitalism; this is when much of the economy would become privatised. It struck me that the Slovenian stock market has only eight companies listed, yet at least they have a stock market at all.
Our finance experts in the cohort had a lot of great questions, comments, and even some advice for The KD Group, but much of the implicit relationships in the data we were shown was over my head, since I have only had introductory finance courses through my education and since there were many specifics.
