On our first full day in Croatia, we were brought on a tour
of Porec and Pula. Our tour guide, Tin spent the majority of the day with us.
It was a great experience hearing stories and culture from a local who lived
just 2km from our hotel. He has a zest for sharing his heritage, and is always
learning new facts to pass on to tourists. On this tour I learned that one of
the best preserved coliseums is actually in Pula, which in history past was
host to 25,000 people. At one point in time the Romans were considering
relocating this coliseum to Italy, but lucky for us it was kept in Croatia!
